I feel much better now that Rep Joe Barton has apologized to BP CEO Tony Hayward. I was feeling really bad about getting all of those birds and turtles stuck in his nice oil spill. Maybe Joe and Rep. Gene Taylor can take Hayward out for ice cream after the hearings to make it up to him.

- Originally from Sheepshead Bay NY, I was drawn to fishing at an early age and had my captain's license before I was twenty years old. I stopped fishing in the mid-90's to attend Penn State for a BS in Meteorology and later earned an MS in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins. I currently work as a programmer for a global weather/climate modeling effort, but my eyes are always toward the sea.
