Picturing 60,000 barrels of oil

Current estimates are that 60,000 barrels of oil per day are spilling into the Gulf of Mexico from the blown-out BP well. To give you an idea of how much oil that is, picture the playing field at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore MD. The field is 360 feet long and 160 feet wide. 60,000 barrels of crude oil would cover the field in a layer nearly six feet deep. In one month, the oil would be 18 stories tall.
